    Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have a few suggestions for further research which I will list below:

    Morgan Luck's essay 'The gamer's dilemma: An analysis of the arguments for the moral distinction between virtual murder and virtual paedophilia' is an influential exploration of the morality of games and virtual reality.

    The article has produced a number of responses and extensions upon its hypothesis which may also be of interest:

    The Power and Appeal of Manipulation

    Finally, the ebook Ethics in the Virtual World : The Morality and Psychology of Gaming may also be of interest, particularly chapter 5 The cost and benefit of virtual violence.
